Automation + security that actually gets along
One survey, one install, one log, one number. We make the clever bits fun and the critical bits bulletproof.
Rules you write, not AI that guesses
Lights, shutters, HVAC, access and signage — plain-English rules, logged locally, works even when broadband doesn’t.
What it runs
- Lighting — scenes, daylight following, auto-off, emergency override. No app-only nonsense.
- Shutters, gates, barriers — interlocked with alarm. Manual release always there.
- Heating / cooling — schedules + occupancy + “door left open?” override. Frost protection included.
- Access control — fobs & codes, fully local, exportable log. No cloud lock-in.
- Signage — tied to trading hours & alarm state. Set and forget.
Why it’s different (and better)
You write: “If alarm set and after 18:30 → close shutters, heating to 12°C”. The panel does exactly that, logs it, and you can read every rule on the keypad. No machine learning, no surprises at 6am Monday.
Internet down? Panel runs from local memory + battery. You still get in, lights still work.
| SBC-C200 — the brain | |
|---|---|
| Controller | SBC-C200, wall-mounted, 4h battery typical |
| I/O | 24 in / 16 relay → 64 with SBC-EX8 |
| Wiring | Star topology, labelled both ends — no wireless-only gamble |
| Program | Engineer software on site; rules = plain text export |
| Logs | Local, 6 months, USB export |
| Fail-safe | You choose power-loss state; manual overrides on panel |
Survey → wiring plan → install → test → train. Usually 2–5 days on site.
One panel to rule all the sensors
Doors, motion, glass, fire, flood — one keypad, one log, one happy facilities manager.
All sensors, one system
- Intrusion — contacts, PIR, dual-tech for warehouses
- Glass-break — acoustic for shopfronts
- Fire — smoke/heat/combined, linked to shutters/HVAC
- Environmental — flood, low temp, mains fail
- Hold-up — discreet where needed
Everything hits a single SBC-S300 panel. Part-set supported (warehouse armed, office free). Automation and security share the log so you see “Door 3 → heating on” in one place. Satisfying.
How it talks
Dual-path standard: Ethernet + 4G with auto-failover. Daily poll — if a path drops, you’re told, the other keeps shouting.
| SBC-S300 — the guard | |
|---|---|
| Zones | 16 on-board → 64, wired + hybrid radio |
| Comms | Dual-path IP + 4G, 120s poll, encrypted |
| Power | Mains + 7Ah (12h typical) |
| Keypads | Up to 4 + fob option |
| Storage | Local NVR + optional UK off-site |
| Standard | PD 6662 / EN 50131 principles, full handover |
Every alert gets a human. Not an algorithm.
The best bit. Without this, an alarm is just noise. With SBC, a trained person in the UK checks every activation.
The 5-step human flow
- Panel shouts — dual-path to centre in seconds.
- Human checks — zone, history, CCTV if you have it, then calls the site.
- You get called — in your order. No robocall tree.
- Police if needed — only after verification, with your URN.
- Logged — every step, time-stamped, in your report.
Zero AI. Ever. No bots, no voice agents, no “AI triage”. A person decides, and you can speak to them.
You also get
- Monthly log (PDF + CSV) — every event, outcome
- On-demand export whenever
- Keyholder list — change by phone with password
- Annual health check included
Monitoring — honest terms
| Provider | UK, 24/7/365 humans |
| Response | Human verification first |
| Hours | All of them, including bank hols |
| Contract | Monthly, 30-day cancel |
| Price | Per site, fixed — quoted after survey |
| AI | None — anywhere |
We’ll leave a laminated escalation card at the panel. Old school, works in a power cut.
Wired properly, labelled, and handed over by our engineers
We don’t post a box. We turn up, run cables properly, label both ends, and document everything. You get a handover pack: wiring diagram, zone list, rule list, keyholder card, and your engineer’s number. Not a chatbot.
- Survey + wiring plan first
- Installed by SBC engineers — no subbies on cables
- Labelled & documented as standard
- Team trained on keypad in 20 minutes
- 12-month warranty, extended cover available
Lead time: ~2–3 weeks survey → install. Out-of-hours available so we don’t trash trading hours.
How a job flows
| 1. Survey | On site, 1–2h — we measure & listen |
| 2. Quote | Fixed, itemised, 5 days |
| 3. Install | 2–5 days, nights/weekends if needed |
| 4. Commission | Full test + rule setup |
| 5. Handover | Training + pack — you’re live |
Survey first, quote after — no obligation, no pushy sales.
